I Know my baby turned 1 on July 8th, but we wanted to wait till Daddy came home to celebrate. We were also lucky to do it when Nana and Grannie were there too. This was my first attempt to make a birthday cake. I decided to find my inner baker and go to it. It turned out better than I expected. Garrett liked it...well, he really just liked to eat it, but whatever! It was fun to share that time with Daddy and Garrett was excited to be the center of attention. I can't believe how fast my little peanut is growing up. It's exciting and sad at the same time. I'm just trying to cherish every moment we have, I try not to get to anxious about the next phase and just enjoy the moment we are in.

Garrett's present from Mom & Dad was his Radio Flyer Scooter. He loves this thing. It was a hit right from the start and hopefully he will enjoy it for many years to come.
