This Memorial Day weekend has been wonderful. We were fortunate to have Nana, Marcus Jr and Mike's family (Marcus' older brother) in town to visit. We have had so much fun. Nana and Marcus Jr flew in from Montgomery, AL, Saturday afternoon. It started out to be a little glum but it turned out to be a beautiful day. Marcus rode his 4 wheeler around the back yard for about 3 hours while we visited with Nana in our beautifully finished sun room.
Later that evening we took Nana to Mike's Farm for some family style supper of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, ham, sweet corn, butter beans, bisquits, mac & cheese and strawberry shortcake. The boys went out and looked at the animals while Nana and I browsed around the gift shop. Nana even rode Daddy's Motorcycle to dinner. Nana is now a true Harley Mamma!
We came home and played some rousing games on the Wii. Nana even got in on the action and smoked us all in bowling.
The next day we all waited anxiously for Mike, Paula, Josh and Jonah to arive. They drove in from Indian Head, MD. Marcus has not seen his brother in 6 years due to Mike and Paula spending 6 years in Japan with the Marine Corps. This was my first time meeting them; we had a wonderful day getting to know each other, sharing stories, and Nana was in Gradma heaven spending time with her 3 beautiful grandkids.
All three boys rode the 4 wheeler and so did Nana, we ate supper and then we made smores around the fire in the back yard.

It was such a fun day, we were sad to see Mike, Paula and the boys leave, but Mike had to get back to work. We are going to plan a trip up to see them and their new house real soon.
