So April 1 was our last official day in NC. The truck was loaded, the house was clean, and we needed to kill some time so we headed to our favorite park. The weather was gorgeous and very characteristic of Eastern NC. Garrett had a great time and we loved spending one last day just relaxing. This was the perfect way to close this chapter of our lives. It was a fabulous chapter. We made some great memories and built our life there.
Marcus Proposed to me the day I moved into our house. We were married, we had Garrett there, we made wonderful friends, Marcus joined the church, and we were sealed together as a family. There was a lot of love, sweat, and tears that went into making NC into our home. We painted, decorated, and painted some more, we built a fence, a deck, and a sun room. We planted grass and flowers and gardens. We have such wonderful memories that will never be forgotten. I am very sure we will be back to NC, but we can never recreate what we had. I am grateful for the mind our Father in Heaven gave to us so we can always remember the wonderful things in our lives.
