On January 10th our oldest boy hit a huge milestone, at least it was a huge milestone for me! He turned 10 this year and we were so excited to get to celebrate it with him. He got money this year for his B-day, apparently that is what 10 year old boys what these days.
We spent the day shopping for clothes (they care what they wear at this age too! Who knew?), eating lunch at a restaurant of his choice, and carefully selecting just the right toy (they still like toys when they are 10, but only ones THEY pick out). It was a fun day, but a birthday is not complete without cake, ice cream, candles, and wishes...
Mom tried to make him a peanut butter chip cake, but it didn't work out like we had hoped. So, when all else fail call Cold Stone! They make delicious ice cream cakes and they make an even more delicious peanut butter/chocolate/cookie cake
What does a 10 year old wish for? We may never know...these are officially the tween years :) But I bet it was something great. And Marcus, we hope all your wished come true!
Notice Buzz has entered the picture, this was the carefully selected toy he chose for his birthday. This is a special Buzz, he is the real deal...the wigs pop out, he talks, and he "falls with style"
We love getting to spend these special days with our special boy. We hope this year bring many days of joy and happiness and that all our wishes come true!
