We finally made it to the Philly Zoo and it was pretty amazing! It's this little wild life oasis right in the middle of this booming, busy, concrete jungle of a city. We are now annual pass members and we intend to enjoy it a few more times this year. The day we went was hot, but not unbearable and there were plenty of inside exibits to get out of the heat. The boys loved it...especially the snakes and reptiles, and the gorillas. It was a great day and a fun way to spend time together as a family learning about all the amazing creatures God put on this earth for us.
The boys being silly ~ and having a photo op gave them a reason to climb up things.
With our season pass we get to enjoy the extras the Zoo has to offer without the expense. I always wanted to ride the pony when I was a kid.
We got to ride in the swan paddle boats, my favorite part of this was seeing the nests full of duck eggs.
This was one of the boys favorite parts. The gorillas were so interactive with the people. They would come charging at the glass and then get real close and just stare at us. Bubba really liked it when they scratched their bums..what is it with boys and their hineys? I just don't get the humor in it all~
We got to ride the Merry Go Round ~ I love that Garrett still loves it and it will be a sad day when he is no longer mesmerized by wooden ponies going up & down & round & round.
It's been fun having Marcus Jr around to snap a few pictures of me and my squeeze together. I feel like since we've have a little one all the pics are of him or one of us because someone has to take the picture, right?
