The lights, the smells, the rides...

This Spring our neighborhood had a little carnival. I noticed it on my way home from work one day and told Marcus about it. We decided that it was time for Garrett to experience his first carnival, we thought he would like it. We were wrong...he loved it! 90% of the rides were geared for little people and about 75% he was able to go on all by himself. He was not scared at all, he was in pure thrill heaven...well as much thrill as a two year old could handle. He played his first carny game (everyone wins), he rode his first roller coaster, went through his first fun house, slid down his first giant slide, and ate his first funnel cake. It was a blast and it made me reminisce about the Clark County Fair Days. Oh how I loved the fair. This did not even come close, but it was about as good as it gets for now.

Enjoying the flying airplane ride, but more importantly getting to be a machine gunner while flying. My child and his guns...oh my, it is a bit obsessive and hopefully only a phase :-/

Garrett won his first prize at a carnival game, luckily the purple stuffed whale was not that interesting for long and it was able to make it's exit without any notice or drama.

Garrett's first carny game, not a treasured milestone, but one that we much all make. He was so excited when he won something.

So if you have ever been on the Tower of Terror at Disney world...this is a smaller version that made your stomach leap all the same. As you can see Mommy was about to hurl while Garrett was scared happy!

Our camera's battery died so we didn't get the giant slide or the roller coaster, but they were both big hits. This carnival comes every year around the same time. For as long as we are here this will be a annual event!
