After our delicious lunch at Chubby's, Garrett wanted to show Grandma where we feed the ducks. This is also our little nature escape amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Valley Green is a little spot not far from our house that has walking, hiking, biking trails right along a creek. It is a little oasis right in the middle of the city. We live about 1/2 a mile from it and use it a lot. We go to walk and feed the ducks/geese, we have picnics there and explore nature, Marcus runs and bikes the trails, we have taken the boys hiking and Marcus intends on doing a little fishing at some point. We love this place and just had to share it with Grandma.
Feeding ducks is one a Garrett's favorite things to do when we come. Lord help us if I forget some little tidbit to let the ducks snack on.
You can see a little restaurant behind Garrett. We have not eaten there, but apparently they have great food. On the weekends in the spring and fall you will always see weddings going on at this little place. It always looks fun...maybe one day I'll be a wedding crasher :)
Garrett loves flowers and he loves to stop and smell them, I usually have to remind him that as much as Mommy would love him to give me a flower, they are not our to pick. I usually end up with some sort of weed...but it is the thought that counts!
