Eli :: 1 Month

My baby is already one month old. It has been a wild and wooly month. We have been finishing packing, loading our whole house into a storage unit, had my parents drive my van across the country, and I flew out to Washington for the Summer. It has gone by so fast. So far Eli is doing great. He is such a little cuddler and I love him to pieces! Some things I do not want to forget ~

• He is a melter, once he is relaxed in your arms, he just melts right into you.
• For his first three weeks of life he would only sleep if he was right next to me, he had to be touching me.
• After three weeks, I realized he likes to sleep upright so he has been sleeping in his car seat for all naps and nighttime and he is sleeping great ~ three hour stretches.
• He spits up A LOT! Like soaks a burp cloth after every feeding.
• Loves to eat, 10 - 12 times per day, and he is a great nurser.
• He takes FOREVER to eat, but that is OK, Mommy enjoys the cuddle time.
• During his three week growth spurt he ate every 2 hours morning and night for four days. If he wasn't eating he was screaming because he wanted to eat and he would only sleep in someone's arms. This was a rough four days, but we made it through and he was very happy once my milk caught up.
• He has breastmilk jaundice. It is very rare and will last time he is about 2 months old. He spends about 15 minutes in the sun everyday and loves it. He is pretty yellow, but the Dr. assures me it will go away.
• His hair is dark and is falling out in the front.

• He loves to lay on his back and watch the world around him.
• He likes his car seat as long as the car is moving and generally falls right asleep. If he is alseep when the car stops he usually stays asleep.
• He likes to be swaddled and if his arms get out he wakes himself up. he has to be swaddled tight!
• He is generally a happy baby and we are thrilled he is here and we are completely in love with our little "muncher"
