And then there were three...

On June 9th Marcus Jr, aka Bubba flew in from Alabama. He will be here with us for four weeks and we are just thrilled to have him. As he gets older we always feat that he will not want to spend so much time with us because preteens and teenagers don't like to leave their friends and their activities to come visit their boring family. But this year he was excited to come and we are excited to have him here. This is the first Summer I have not had to work while he visited and it has been fun to be able to spend so much time with the kids. The weather has been nice and we have been able to have days like this one...out by the lake playing in the sunshine.

Marcus was really excited to learn to use the row boat and as soon as I felt comfortable with his rowing skills I let him take Garrett with them and they had a blast. Bubba is such a good big brother and he let Garrett have a turn trying to row. And just to show how awesome he is, he got out of the boat and pulled it while Garrett "rowed". Garrett thought he was doing it himself, but Bubba was giving a little brotherly love.

Bubba had fun swimming and jumping off the dock. I was able to get some good action shots on him. He even convinced Garrett to jump in for a short swim. This is huge. Garrett is very content playing on the shore this year.

Bubba is also in charge of taking care of Grandma and Grandpa's dog Willy while Grandma is out of town and Grandpa is working. So Willy got to hang out with us, mostly me and Eli as we sat in the shade.

I'm sure there will be many fun memories made this Summer on the lake.
