The big "FOUR" ~ 4

My baby, my peanut, my Garrett is four today and I cannot believe he is growing up so fast.

Here are his stats before I forget. I have not been great at documenting this stuff: Garrett is 42" tall ~ 84%, he weighs 36.6 lbs ~ 54% and his BMI is 14%

Some stuff I don't want to forget about my little man:

• He is very loving when he wants to be
• He cares about how others feel and he doesn't like to hurt other peoples feelings
• He loves to play outside
• He loves to be read to and he like to pretend he can read his own books
• He enjoys playing with Legos and his cars, and he likes to pretend he is a super hero with his cape and sword
• He loves music, he likes to sing, he likes to listen to music, and he has quite a knack for learning and remembering songs.
• He can be very sassy yet very sweet in the same breath
• He likes to fight the Lamanites and lots of other bad guys
• He is very stubborn, he likes to do things his way and when he wants to do it
• He likes to negotiate and right now he is really testing his boundries
• He still takes naps ~ about two hours per day and he goes to bed at 7:00 or 7:30 PM
• All in all he is a joy and a very happy boy to be around. We love his to pieces!!!

Today we were able to celebrate his birthday with family. We went up to Shirlee and Dusty's house for dinner, cupcakes, and ice cream.  Grandma & Grandpa were there and so were Sam & Melissa and his cousins, Owen, Nigel, Alice, and Mary. He loved having the attention and being the birthday boy for the day. They even sand to him in Primary and he got to say the prayer in Primary today . he felt very special and loved.

He requested monster cupcakes and this is what I came up with. I found them on Pinterest. They were a hit with all the kiddos.

This is his favorite part of all birthdays...blowing out the candles and having people sing the 'happy birthday song' to him. Notice the drool. I'm pretty sure I have the only four year old who's mouth leaks.

He got some great presents this year and he was very happy, especially since so many of his toys are packed away in the 'going to California' box. He got a fun planet puzzle, it is big and sturdy and just right for him to learn how to put it together. he got a box tiny Legos from mom and dad and a really awesome boat and airplane from Grandma and Grandpa. He also got an apron, hot mits, and cutting board, and a chopping knife. He loves to help Mommy in the kitchen and now he will be all decked out.

He had a wonderful birthday and we were grateful to be here with family to celebrate. We are also grateful for technology so we could Skype with Daddy the whole time.
