Feb 24th ~ Mar 2nd

This week was full of much anticipation. As the previous week off was nice and relaxing Garrett was very excited to get back to school on Monday and I was ready to get back into the routine of daily life. We were also very excited about the end of the week. On Thursday we were playing hookie from school as we were headed up to Anaheim for a little Disney treat. My brother, Jason, and his family were flying in with my Mom and Dad to spend a few days in Disneyland. We did not go into the park, we just spent the day in Downtown Disney hanging out with one another and celebrating my nephew Kaleb's 9th Birthday. There were a few main highlights from Downtown Disney...

The Lego store! The boys all loved looking and the hundreds and hundreds of Lego sets that you can only see here. They also loved looking at the giant Lego creations. Buzz and Woody were of the favorites. There was also a cool little track outside the store. There were tons of pieces to build Lego cars and then race them on the track. Our boys stood around that track for at least and hour and a half and just built and raced Lego cars. It was such a nice day and all the adults just hung out and caught up. No body seemed to mind.

Another big hit, but this fountain. Not sure how a fountain can be so entertaining, but this one was. The kids played in the water and they were all sopping wet by the end. They also had fun digging out the money and throwing it in again...no, we did not let them take any of the money out :)

The kids loved checking out the Disney shaped bushes and trees. I will admit, no one does topiaries quite like Walt Disney.

While we toured the Disneyland hotel we came across Goofy. He was so patient as we all took pictures and he got up close and personal with our little ones.

Eli was there, he was just very content hanging out in his stroller.

These cousins don't get to see each other all that often, but it amazes me how they just pick up where they left off. They enjoyed their time together so much and I enjoyed watching it.

Above photo...The day we were at Disney Marcus was able to meet some Marine Corps retirees. It is always a pleasure to hear their stories. Marcus came home very grateful for those who have served before him and the legacy they have left.

The other fun thing this week was it warming up enough for the sprinkler to make its debut. When it is warm out you will often find the kids of Golondrina Ct participating in some kind of water fun; sprinkler's, hose fights, slip n slides or blow up water slides. I feel so blessed to have such great neighbors and watching these kids interact is great fun. 

It was also Nathanial's 4th b-day this weekend and the kids had fun playing, celebrating, and most of all busting open the pinata full of goodies. It was the perfect ending to a perfect week.
