Today is April 10th and for most people this day in not significant, but for me, in this moment of life, it is very significant. This day marks 1 month till our redeployment window starts. If you are not sure what a redeployment window is, it is the window of days that my hubby will be coming home in. We potentially only have 30 days left!
However, comma, pause for effect, don't get your hopes up too high because things in the military are never what they seem. It has taken my family 15 years to learn this and to take our future plans with a grain of salt. In my mind we only have 30 days left. In real life he will probably not come home during his window at all. Life in the Marine Corps is all about being "Semper Gumby"...translation "always flexible".
During month five I hit a major slump. My bestie moved away, she was kind of my rock during this deployment. She was there to help me with my kids when it felt like too much. She was my running buddy and my person to vent to. We laughed and cried a lot and then she moved. That is the nature of my life, but it still sucks! I cannot blame my slump on her, but it was kind of the catalyst that started the slump. As we enter month six I am feeling alive and reenergized. The weather is getting warmer and we have settled into a new routine that seems to be working. It is gonna be a good month!
HURRY HOME MY LOVE~
