Garrett has been taking swim lessons for about 3 months now and he absolutely loves it. We go one night per week for 30 min. He gets in the water with mom or dad and we practice using his legs to kick, arms to swim, blowing bubbles, and floating on our back. He loves to use the kick board and the little foam block on his back.
When we started he was not very confident in the water and wanted to make sure Marcus or I was touching him at all times. Now he gets upset at us when we do touch him. His teacher says if he keeps progressing the way he is he will be ready to swim without a parent next session. I will like that! It's so much easier to get one ready swim lessons than two. Anyway, it's fun for the whole family and it's just in time for the nice weather. Pretty soon the swim pools will be open and we will be going to visit Grandma and Papa at the lake.
