We have now been in Philly for almost a year and a half. Many of our friends are transient just just we are. Most of them are in grad school of some sort...dental, medical, PA, optometry, law, ect. This is nothing new for us as we have spent the last 12 years being transient ourselves. I would have never guessed moving here we would have made so many wonferful friends so quickly. This last year has been a memorable one. The only bad thin is having to say goodbye. There were quite a few families this year who graduated their respective schools and moved on to a new chapter of life. Around April/May each year people graduate and move on. Each year around this time the whole lot of us get together for one last picnic. We eat, we visit, we let the kids play, and we pretend like the inevitable is not actually going to happen. We pretend that our great friends whom we hav grown to love and whom our kids know no other are not going to pack up their belongings and move to a distant part of the country. This years picnic was great. It was fun to spend one last afternoon all together. The weather was perfect and the company was even better. To all of our friends who have moved on ~ we miss you; to those who are still here ~ we cherish the time we still have; and for those who will move in ~ we welcome you with open arms.
