Jam...all I have to say is YUMMO!

Today I made jam with our fresh picked strawberries from yesterday. I normally do freezer jam, but this year I had to do cooked jam since we are in transit. It is still delicious and we are excited to dig in. Fresh jam makes peanut butter and jam taste so much better. But my favorite is hot toast with butter and jam on it...I could eat it every morning! There is something so satisfying when you are done canning anything.

Looking at your beautiful jars just makes you smile and think ~ 'wow, I accomplished something great today'

Here is my little helper of the day. He did not physically help, but he helped by being so good and content while I spent over half of my day washing, stemming, chopping, mashing, mixing, and cooking berries. Thank you Eli for having a good day.
